America Alaska Grizzly Bear 9437M
$0.00
An experienced brown bear (grizzly) has learned that standing on the edge of a cascade or small waterfall is a prime location for grabbing a meal during a salmon run. No chasing required. All they have to do is sit still and wait for the fish to come to them. Watching a salmon as it launches itself up the falls gives the bear just enough time to prepare to catch it. On this day, however, attempting to watch for flying salmon was all but impossible thanks to the thick river fog and mist. It was so thick that it looked as though the bear is standing on a cloud. The best it could do was to hope a fish jumped very close to it and its reflexes were fast enough to catch it. The catch success rate was very low that morning. In this image, the salmon was too far away and all the bear could do was watch it fly on by. Fortunately, after a few salmon jumps, he was successful in catching a meal as well as a few others later on that morning. In the afternoon after the fog lifted increasing visibility, he had better luck.
