Beach Chair Morning Calm

Price

$0.00

The image of an orphaned beach chair on the ocean coastline is an epic example of less being more to create visual interest. A long exposure smoothed the ocean’s surface. Removing its texture reduced its importance as a design element. That allowed the surface and available light to set the mood but were never intended as compositional object elements. That left the chair and distant clouds as the two main subjects providing eye movement and depth to the image. The ocean and sky were negative spaces. The long exposure also caused the clouds to fan out adding visual interest to their shape and helped to increase the image’s visual strength while using less.
