Frontier Prairie Church 1097
$0.00
This ruined church sits quietly on the open plains of Montana. The church’s weathered wooden walls and abandoned interiors are a testimony to the fleeting nature of life on the prairies. Even as frontier life faded into the early 20th century nature proved to be the stronger as draught drove the sparce population off the land to seek better opportunities. Built in the vast open expanse of prairie grassland in the early 1900s it was oddly located some 10 miles from the nearest settlement so access was by horse and wagon. I used a wide-angle lens to create a sense of scale in the broad vista and vastness of the natural elements seen in the land and sky against which this building still remains standing.
