I was on the east side of Japan's main island along the rugged Shankiro coast hoping to create a sunrise image. Unfortunately, a heavy cloud bank on the horizon ended that possibility. Watching the incoming waves hitting the rocks along the shore gave rise to this minimalist image taken with a long exposure. When given lemon, make lemon-aid.
