Lake Superior Sunset 9754

     This is just one small rock structure that is part of the collection named the Apostle Islands off the coast of Wisconsin in Lake Superior. To exemplify the vastness of Lake Superior as the sun was beginning to set, I used the rock structure as the anchor point and employed a 12mm lens to gain a 122 degree angle of view. To avoid any of the nearby cliffs from the island behind me from entering the frame I had stood out in the lake (quite cold even in summer) away from shore. The result was almost minimalist by design.
