Minnesota Sunrise Frost Winterscape 7086

It was -10°F on a late January morning when I was out in Minnesota's prairie region searching for minimalist landscape images. Frost hung in the air during the pre-dawn hours that created a fog-like effect as I viewed the faint shapes of a scattering of barren trees in the distance. The early light against the frost colored the air around me in warm magenta tones. The colors lasted only a very short time but it was time enough for me to create a four-image stitch of the scene before me.
