Mystical Bamboo Forest

     It feels eerie and a bit creepy to be standing in the middle of a dense bamboo forest filled with thin fog as the dawn is about to break. There is not a breath of wind and only the occasional echoing sounds of bird calls can be heard in the distance. Even as the fog began to glow from the rising sunlight it was so thick I had to use a compass to know which direction I was facing.

     But I consider the weather to be a great opportunity to produce images. With the fog glowing all around me it did not take long to find a bit of an opening in the forest I could take advantage of to create an image that matched the dark and mystical mood of the forest. I exposed for the glowing fog which turned the bamboo trees into near silhouettes. A perfect synergy between the brighter fog and the mystery of a dark forest.
