Venice Gondolas and San Giorgio Maggiore Church

     To me, this was a scene that screamed painting rather than just a photocopy of what I saw before me. Gondolas and churches are Venetian icons and deserved a better rending by me than just a tourist cell phone picture. To bring my visualized image to life, I combined a slightly long exposure, a small bit of ICM, and a reduction in detail in post processing. The effect softened all the lines yet still allowed good recognition of all the elements. It looked and felt similar to a number of paintings that hung in the many art galleries and museum in Venice.
