Waterlogged Fall Forest

     Rising swamp waters killed the nearby trees. The passage of time turn their skeletal remains bone white. Their abstract white shapes contrasted with the autumn leaves in the background. However, all the detail seen in the leaves made it difficult to make the dead trees stand out from the background. To remove background detail, I used intentional camera movement (ICM) during exposure. This blurred the autumn colored background trees creating a watercolor effect while a vertical camera movement rendered the dear trees into various abstract shapes.
